“Bridge Ethics”
It's not poker and it's not golf either
This presentation will review the basics of bridge ethics - how you are expected to play the game - focusing on what is considered honest or not, how you must comport yourself, what you should or must share with your opponents and more. We will then review several situations that might arise and see how the ethical player must handle each situation.
About Scott...
Scott Nason started playing bridge in the 1970s and played a lot of tournament bridge, playing with and against many top players who were or would become world class experts. He then took about 35 years off to have a career as an executive at American Airlines, raise a family with his wife and two kids, travel a lot, and only play bridge socially. He retired in 2009 and returned to the bridge tournament circuit in 2011, rejoining the ACBL after the long absence during which time his 155 masterpoints had lost much of their luster.
Scott earned his Life Master in 2014 and became a Sapphire Life Master (3500 masterpoints) in 2022. He is a certified bridge director and has directed and taught on bridge cruises. His successes at the bridge table include winning the NAP Flight B at the Summer NABC in 2018 and finishing 2nd in the Mini-Spingolds in 2019.
Scott plays bridge and golf, travels the world with his wife, Meryl – he has been to about 90 countries – and enjoys his new (baby) grandchildren.
